We don’t know what kind of experiences you’ve had in school before coming to Westinghouse Arts Academy (WAA). But when you walk through the doors of our public charter high school, you can tell that things are different. Learn What You Love
Most of the time we gravitate towards liking what we are good at. But to find out what you’re good at, you need to try a lot of different activities. WAA has many opportunities for you to learn new subjects and explore different types of artistic expression. In 9th and 10th grade, you’ll dive into foundational and intro courses that let you try out different arts disciplines. You may be surprised at what you discover about yourself in the process!
Break The Mold
A fundamental way we are not like a traditional 9th-12th grade school is our ability to be a flexible learning community. Students can sign up for challenging AP, CHS and honors courses, as well as honors societies in most majors. For students who need a little extra support, academic tutoring and SEL support is available. At WAA you’ll have the resources to get after whatever you’re passionate about, with classmates who care as much as you do.
